Phytopod Vertical Gardening System
I’m delighted to announce that our city homestead project has a new sponsor—Phytopod. Phytopod is a vertical gardening system created by Dr. Eluem Blyden.
According to their web site VerticalHomeGardens.com, “Phytopod® Vertical Gardening Containers are the great new way to enjoy a REAL garden in limited space! Grow salad greens, vegetables, fruits, herbs or flowers on your balcony, patio or rooftop.”
Our Vertical Urban Farm
My good friend Steve told me about Vertical Home Gardens, and I fell in love with the system immediately. As an aspiring urban farmer with a small plot of land, Phytopod vertical containers are a perfect way to maximize the growing power of my space. Another benefit of the Phytopod system is that I can fill my containers with healthy organic soil while I learn how to cleanse the soil that is in our yard.
Phytopods can be purchased as single units or in collections. The collection we will receive from Vertical Home Gardens is the Phytopod 4 Mini Farm Assembly Kit. The Phytopod 4 Mini Farm Assembly Kit consists of 8 Phytopod units and offers a growing area of over 100 square feet. Needless to say, we’re super excited!
